CDM under the leadership of Cllr John Mpe and Mayor of Lepelle Nkumpi, Cllr Nakedi took it to themselves to ensure that Leeto was laid to rest in a dignified manner. On Thursday the  15 June they visited the family and declared that government will be assisting in running the funeral and they were at the funeral giving messages of condolences.

“As a municipality we are touched by what happened. We would like to urge all drivers to be vigilant on the roads. They should respect other drivers and the rules of the road. It can’t be that in the youth month we loose young people due to drivers who are reckless. We condemn this”

The Executive Mayor called on the behaviour of some motorists into question saying that most road accidents seen on the country’s roads could have been avoided. He attributes most of the accidents happened due to human error brought on by fatigue, usage of cell phones, and alcohol abuse while driving amongst others. He called for unity amongst members of the community and family as some displayed disrespectful behaviours and political differences during the funeral.
