ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS BY DOE

The Department of Education – Capricorn South District emphasized the saying, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today,” this as when the department awarded academic excellence on 19 March 2024 in Polokwane.
CDM joined several other stakeholders who were at the Jack Botes Hall today, to give support to the Department of Education-Capricorn South District as they were acknowledging academic excellence to the 2023 Grade 11 learners, who are now the class of 2024.
Capricorn South District, led by the District Director Tinyiko Nkuzana recognised the learner’s hard work and dedication to their academic work, and good performance in their extra-mural activities, during an Academic Excellence Awards, hosted at Jack Botes Hall, today. Awards were not only received by learners, but various schools and circuits in the district also acquired awards for being best performers during the 2023 academic year.
This was meant to motivate the class of 2024, to work with diligence and dedication, as the year begins.
Speaking during the celebration, the District Director, reminded the learners and all involved that it is their responsibility to make it and shine at the end of the year. The district achieved 81,9% in 2023 and is gunning for 91% in 2024. The district consecutively produced a number one leaner in the province, during the past years.
